Born in Alaska & raised in the DMV area, RAA ("Raw Application of Art") is an artist & producer currently based in San Diego, CA. He articulates art through poetic abilities with captivating flows & messages encompassed in mental health awareness, spirituality, anti-politics, & socio-economic matters over classic hip-hop/jazz instrumentation. Some major inspiration stretch from notable artists such as 2Pac, André 3000, Rakim, A Tribe Called Quest, & The Roots.
Inspired by Outkast, Alicia Keys, The Gorillaz, and Mac Miller.I started writing rhymes my last year of college in 2018 and started recording music in my room in 2019. By 2021, I was hitting up studios around San Diego recording for my first EP Blue Falls Drive. Releasing my second EP the following year, ALIGN. With in between collaborating with singers, producers, and other rappers on singles or their own full albums and projects. I am currently working on a couple collaborative projects and hope to work with more artists in every field.
